But make no mistake: running 250km over 5 days is a serious physical and mental challenge. It demands commitment, preparation, and resilience.

Our entry criteria is not here to exclude, it's here to help you understand what you need to succeed and protect you from injury or burnout.
We want every runner to start with confidence and the best chance of finishing strong.

The Entry Process

How to enter - and what happens next on your journey to the start line.

Submit Your Entry Form

Complete the simple entry form when the ballot is open, and tell us a little about your running experience and why you'd like to take part.

We’ll Review Your Entry

Our team will review your entry to make sure you’re ready for this challenge. If we have any questions or need more info, we’ll get in touch with you directly.

Ballot Draw & Places Awarded

Once the ballot closes, we’ll run the draw and notify successful runners by email.

Provide Runner Info & Medical Forms

If awarded a place, you’ll complete your runner info form and medical form, and select your payment option to confirm your place.

Pay Your First Instalment

Secure your place with your first payment — either full payment or the first instalment of your selected payment plan.

You’re in! Once your place is confirmed, your journey to the start line begins — we’ll be with you every step of the way.

1 Full Payment £600 upfront
2 Equal Payments £300 now, £300 in one month
4 Equal Payments £150 now, then £150 each month for 3 months

Entering the ballot is free — you will only be asked to pay if your ballot entry is successful and you choose to accept your place.

What Does It Take?

The experience and preparation we recommend to help you succeed safely.

Important: Entry is not solely based on experience. Our event is about more than just completing the distance - mindset, determination, and preparation all play a role in readiness.

Prior Ultra or Endurance Experience

Prior Ultra or Endurance Experience

  • Completed at least one ultra marathon (50km+),

OR

  • A strong marathon background (e.g., multiple marathons, trail experience, or significant endurance events).

within the last 2 years.

Demonstrated Training Commitment

Demonstrated Training Commitment

  • Evidence of structured training (e.g., coached programs, long runs exceeding 30-40km, multi-day efforts).
  • Understanding of endurance nutrition and hydration strategies.

Mental Resilience

Mental Resilience

  • Experience in managing fatigue, discomfort, and long hours on their feet.
  • A clear motivation for participating in the event.
