The adventure at a glance
-
25–29 June 2027
Five days and four nights, with three days of guided fastpacking in the eastern Pyrenees.
-
48.4 km · 3,500 m ascent
Journey through the Freser, Carançà and Núria valleys, crossing between Spain and France.
-
Maximum 18 guests
A personal experience where you’ll know everyone by name and share the journey together. Come solo or with friends.
Big mountain days. Together as one.
We’ll run where the trail allows, power-hike the climbs and move carefully through the higher mountain terrain.
There’s no race, no podium and no pressure to be first. We may move in smaller guide-supported groups where the terrain calls for it, regrouping for the big moments and looking after one another along the way.
The refuge dinners, tired legs, bad jokes and people beside you are as much a part of the experience as the mountains.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this trip right for me?
You’ll need good fitness, previous trail-running or mountain experience, and confidence on steep, rocky terrain. Expect around 5–6 hours moving each day, carrying your own pack, on consecutive days. This isn’t a beginner mountain trip.
What is fastpacking?
A combination of trail running and hiking while carrying what you need between overnight stops. We run the runnable sections, hike the climbs and move carefully through the higher terrain. There are no luggage transfers between the remote refuges.
Where will we sleep?
Two nights in a hotel in Ribes de Freser and two mountain refuge nights. Refuge facilities are simple and sleeping arrangements are shared. Some guests may camp beside Ras de la Carançà, depending on group size and availability. There is no device charging at this refuge.
What kit do I need?
A recommended 20–30 litre running pack, with an expected weight of around 6–8 kg. Bring mountain clothing, trail food and at least 1.5 litres of water capacity. Microspikes are mandatory kit. The booking page has the full list and add-on option.
How do airport transfers work?
The arrival transfer leaves Barcelona–El Prat Airport at approximately 14:00 on 25 June. The return arrives at approximately 11:00 on 29 June, with onward flights recommended from 14:00. Wait for confirmation that the trip is going ahead before booking flights.
What does it cost?
From £1,395 per person, with a £300 deposit and monthly payments available. Earlier booking spreads the balance over more months. Booking closes when places are filled or on 25 March 2027, whichever comes first.
What about weather and insurance?
Routes and timings depend on mountain conditions and the guides’ judgement. Residual snow may remain on higher sections. Travel insurance covering the activities, terrain and elevations is compulsory.
